Fossil fuels are among the most commonly used forms of energy in the world. Common fossil fuels include natural gas, coal and petroleum, which is refined to create gasoline. Although fossil fuels are strong sources of energy, their use can pose certain health problems if handled incorrectly.

Why Nigeria Should Be Free of Fossil Fuel

Fossil fuels as the name suggests are derivatives of plant and animal fossils that are millions of years old.  These are primarily formed from the remains of the decayed plants and animals of the carboniferous era.

The three fuel sources i.e. coal, natural gas and oil/petroleum help to meet the energy and electricity demands of today’s world and it hasn’t come without consequences!

Hurray, #TechInMyHandbag –March edition is done and dusted! Had to speed up things to allow them prepare for their examinations which is in two weeks. As I’ve made them to understand. I had already told them that #TechyGirls is not an excuse for poor grades but a bolster.Let me share a bit of the experience with you.

Okay, So we had a wonderful ''‪#‎Techinmyhandbag‬'' -February edition. The Girls were able to write their first lines of code! It was really fun.We were so busy coding that we forgot to take pictures.

Most of the girls had to leave hurriedly because of the school bus but had to record the memory of the event with this 'mono snap'

We enjoyed our February because we ‪#‎coddedforlove‬ and also built a robot! That exactly is the big idea for ‪#‎Africa4Her‬. Join us this month for the March edition.

The First Virtual Educational Field Trip in Nigeria

It's Official! Virtual Reality Nigeria made history by taking a group of students on a virtual field trip! It was a successful journey although they saw sharks and underwater floras they had a zero tolerance for fear.Lots of shark touch ,no shark biting! :)

Reinventing Nigerian Nation: Senator Amosun, Badejo-Okusanya, others Call for National Reputation Summit

The Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has held its 2015 Colloquium and Award Ceremony on Thursday, August 13, 2015. The event which took place at the auditorium of the Olusegun Obasanjo Library, Abeokuta was declared open by the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikune Amosun ably represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Yetunde  Onanuga .

 

The discourse, themed “Image Makers' Perspective in the Reinvention of the Nigerian Nation” attracted a crème of dignitaries from the Nigerian Integrated Marketing Communications industry, traditional institution, media, the academia (lecturers and Mass Communication students of Lagos State University, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, and Ogun State University). The event also had communication staff from local, state and federal governments.

Governor Amosun To Declare OGUN NIPR COLLOQUIUM Open Next Week

The Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations is to hold its 2015 Colloquium and Award Ceremonies on Thursday, August 13, 2015.

The event which holds at the Auditorium of the Olusegun Obasanjo Library will attract a crème of dignitaries within and outside the state.

The theme of the colloquium is Image Makers' Perspective in the Reinvention of the Nigerian Nation and would be delivered by the Secretary General of the African Public Relations Association (APPRA), Mr. Yomi Badejo- Okusanya, while Professor Lai Oso, of the Department of Mass Communications, Lagos State University is the Chairman. The Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun is to declare the event open.
