The Nigerian Society of Engineers has lauded the Ogun State Governor and convener of the Ogun State Investor’s
Forum.The forum which took place at the June 12
Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta from May
21 – May 22 2014.
The Event,Prior to
the “World Engineering Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure WECSI 2014 was
themed “Agriculture and Urban Development” had in attendance the Members of the
Nigerian Society of Engineers, Former President of Mexico - Mr. Vincent Fox,
Former President of Nigeria – Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Ernest Shonekan, MD of
Lafarge Wapco, Captains of Industries and many other notable delegates.
The Forum served as an eye-opener for
investors with a focus on showcasing opportunities and creating an enabling
business environment amongst others in Ogun State. It also seek to enhance the
State’s position as one of the fastest growing investment destinations in West
Africa by developing new infrastructure and encouraging investors to acquire
land by offering them significant discounts.
Speaking at a press interview and at
the media hub, the representative of the President of the society Dr.Bamidele Dahunsi said it’s a good
initiative from the Convener of the Forum because it allows investors
from all over the world come invest in the state which is what the World
Engineering Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure WECSI 2014 scheduled to
hold in Abuja Nigeria, from November 2 – 7, 2014 at the International
Conference Centre, Abuja and Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja will be addressing
amongst others issues.
The Conference is set to be one of the
biggest International Events on Engineering and Infrastructure holding on the
African soil. It offers prospects in highly intellectual discuss and technical
presentations, Product Exhibition, Sponsorship opportunities and Networking
with leading international entrepreneurs, Africa’s policy makers and major
players in the private sector in infrastructure provision.
